Manoj Rajan is the Additional Secretary to Government of Karnataka. He also serves as the Chairman of the Agricultural Market Reforms Committee and Managing Director and CEO of Rashtriya e-Market services Pvt. Limited. He also presently is the Special Commissioner (Finance & Revenue) for the Bangalore City Corporation (BBMP)
Manoj is an IFS officer from the 1999 batch; he has held various roles in Government of Karnataka. He served, as the Executive Director for Karnataka State Beverages Corporation Limited between 2005-2007 was responsible for supply chain management amidst reforms in the excise sector. Between 2007-2013, he was the Special Officer (Elections) and was responsible for monitoring; reviewing and implementing free and fair conduct of elections. He brought reforms in electoral roll management; he conceptualized and implemented the ERMS (Electoral Roll Management System) in Karnataka. Manoj also served as Additional Mission Director, Sakala (2013-14) a path breaking citizen services delivery model that ensured that citizens exercised their right to avail more than 725 services from 50 different departments in a time bound manner. This project was awarded the Prime Ministers Award for Excellence in Public Administration 2014 and the Public Service Innovation Award by Commonwealth Association for Public Administration and Management - CAPAM 2014.
Manoj is also recipient of several awards during his training at IGNFA, he received the D.H. Kulkarni Gold Medal, Sulochana Naidu Memorial Medal and was also awarded the honors diploma. Manoj graduated with honors from AIGNFA and also holds a masters degree in Geology and MBA (Finance) from Mysore.
